DUMPSITE

This is a self-initiated project. A social campaign against electronic waste pollution. I aimed at raising awareness and educating the Ghanaian public on the effects of electronic waste pollution on the environment and discouraging indiscriminate dumping of electronic waste. Ghana, like other countries, faces the challenge of poor electronic waste management. Electronic waste end up in landfills, water bodies and a large percentage are burnt. With electronic products gaining a shorter life span, the amount of electronic waste keeps increasing with less public education, facilities, and resources to manage it. I used illustrations to develop a strong visual language that depicts the nature of the problem.

Using flexible lines and simple hand drawn illustrations appeared to work well for the idea behind the campaign. I wanted to create something that looks disorganized when brought together.
